MATCHi FAQs

Please take note of this key difference between MATCHi and our previous booking system: MATCHi requires all four participant members of a booking in order to reduce the cost of court booking to the true member cost (otherwise MATCHi assumes a guest is playing and charges the appropriate guest fee(s) for the booking duration).

The current easiest way to add participants to a booking, is to first add players that you play together frequently with as friends on MATCHi, or alternatively you can add their membership email address to the booking (note this email must match the email tied to their active membership if you do this way, otherwise it will not verify them as a member).

Yes. Automatic cancellations are still available in your booking, subject to the current cancellation policy of 3 hours prior to a booking. If you are within the 3-hour window, you will need to email enquiries@formbyvillagepadel.com for a manual refund (please note that refunds within the 3-hour window are discretionary as per the Formby Village Padel Rules)

If you booked a court on Clubspark, the FVP Team have transferred the booking over to MATCHi. As payment would have been made through Clubspark, you will need to manually request a refund by emailing enquiries@formbyvillagepadel.com

This is one of the differences between previous booking system and MATCHi.

For MATCHi you can either pay in full upfront (it will charge the correct full discounted amount) or you can choose to split the payment between players using the app.

For the split payment it will charge the lead booker the full court hire cost including 3 guests, for example one hour of Peak is £24 + £15 for 3 guests = £39.

So it will charge straight away £39 to the lead booker.

It will then let you choose players to add to the booking, so if you choose me, Christian and Keren, it will recalculate the court booking cost to £24 + £0. It will then split the payment equally adding a 25p convenience charge to each split to total £6.25 each.

What it will do for the lead booker is refund you £33 from your inital £39 charge two hours after the booking has completed. The charge is front loaded and the lead booker acts as advanced guarantor if you like to the split.
